NO TOUCH POLICY

At OTONADAKE CON, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees, exhibitors, and staff. Our No Touch Policy is designed to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event without feeling uncomfortable, harassed, or violated.

1. Personal Boundaries Matter

  • Always ask for permission before touching someone, even if it's for a photo, handshake, or any other interaction.

  • This includes, but is not limited to, hugs, high-fives, handshakes, and posing for photos.

  • If someone declines physical interaction or requests space, respect their wishes immediately and without hesitation.

2. Cosplay and Costumes

  • Never touch someone’s cosplay or costume without clear, verbal consent. Many cosplayers spend significant time and effort crafting their outfits, and they deserve the same respect as any other attendee.

  • Please ask before taking photos with someone in costume, and always respect their response if they decline.

3. Harassment-Free Zone

  • Any form of unwanted physical contact will not be tolerated. This includes groping, inappropriate touching, or any actions that violate another attendee's personal space.

  • If you are a victim or witness to unwanted physical interaction, please report it immediately to convention staff or security.

4. Respect for Exhibitors and Staff

  • Respect the personal space of exhibitors and convention staff. While they are there to engage with attendees, they are also entitled to their personal boundaries.

  • Exhibitors should also be mindful of this policy when interacting with guests, cosplayers, or any other attendees.

5. Signage and Communication

  • If you feel uncomfortable in a situation or want to communicate a boundary, it’s okay to use simple signals like shaking your head, stepping back, or saying “no” in a firm but respectful manner.

  • Convention staff and security will be readily available to assist if necessary.

6. Enforcement

  • Violation of the No Touch Policy may result in immediate removal from the convention. We take all reports of inappropriate behavior seriously.

  • If you see or experience inappropriate touching, please contact a staff member immediately. We will ensure that your concerns are handled swiftly and discreetly.

7. Consent Culture

  • OTONADAKE CON encourages all attendees to embrace a culture of mutual respect and consent. It's important to communicate, ask, and respect each other’s boundaries in every interaction.

We are dedicated to making OTONADAKE CON a welcoming and enjoyable event for everyone. By adhering to the No Touch Policy, we can ensure that everyone has a safe and memorable experience.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
